Hadith 791
It is narrated from Rabi'ah bin Abdullah that he saw Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) removing lice from his camel and throwing the lice into the dust at the place of Suqya, and he was in the state of Ihram.
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I consider this act to be disliked.
Hadith 792
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ
أُمِّهِ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ
عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُسْأَلُ عَنِ الْمُحْرِمِ أَيَحُكُّ جَسَدَهُ ، فَقَالَتْ : " نَعَمْ ،
فَلْيَحْكُكْهُ وَلْيَشْدُدْ وَلَوْ رُبِطَتْ يَدَايَ وَلَمْ أَجِدْ إِلَّا رِجْلَيَّ لَحَكَكْتُ "
Hazrat Marjana heard from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her). She was asked whether a muhrim (person in the state of ihram) may scratch his body. She replied: Yes, he may scratch, and he may scratch vigorously, and if my hands were tied and my feet were restrained, I would scratch with that as well.
Hadith 793
It is narrated from Ayub bin Musa that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) looked into a mirror because of an illness that was in his eye, and he was in the state of Ihram.
Hadith 794
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ
عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، " كَانَ
يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَنْزِعَ الْمُحْرِمُ حَلَمَةً أَوْ قُرَادًا عَنْ بَعِيرِهِ " .¤ قَالَ مَالِك : وَذَلِكَ أَحَبُّ مَا سَمِعْتُ إِلَيَّ فِي ذَلِكَ
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) considered it disliked to remove lice or nits from his camel.
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I like this statement which I have heard regarding this matter.
Hadith 795
Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abi Maryam asked Sa'id bin al-Musayyib that one of my nails has broken and I am in the state of Ihram. Sa'id said: Cut it off.
Hadith 795B1
وَسُئِلَ مَالِك ، عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَشْتَكِي أُذُنَهُ أَيَقْطُرُ فِي أُذُنِهِ مِنَ الْبَانِ الَّذِي لَمْ يُطَيَّبْ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ ، فَقَالَ : لَا أَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا وَلَوْ جَعَلَهُ فِي فِيهِ لَمْ أَرَ بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked: If a person in the state of ihram has pain in his ear, can he put oil of ban (wild olive) without fragrance in his ear? He replied: There is no harm in it, and if he puts it in his mouth, there is also no harm.
Hadith 795B2
قَالَ مَالِك : وَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَبُطَّ الْمُحْرِمُ خُرَاجَهُ وَيَفْقَأَ دُمَّلَهُ وَيَقْطَعَ عِرْقَهُ إِذَا احْتَاجَ إِلَى ذَلِكَ
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: If a person in the state of ihram lances his boil, bursts a blister, or opens a vein for bloodletting out of necessity, then there is no harm in it.
