Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: I heard from the people of knowledge, they used to say: This command is not for women, rather women should say the Talbiyah softly in such a way that only they themselves hear it.
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: A muhrim should not raise his voice in the congregational mosques, but rather say it in such a way that he himself hears it and the one next to him does not hear it, except in the mosque of Mina and the Sacred Mosque, where he should say the talbiyah aloud.
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: I heard from the people of knowledge that they considered it preferable to say the Talbiyah after every prayer and at every ascent while climbing.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Khallad Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said that I should command my companions to call out the Talbiyah in a loud voice.”
