It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to say: The upper part of the chin is included in the head; a Muhrim should not cover it.
Hadith 719
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) gave a shroud to his son Waqid bin Abdullah, and he had died at Hajfah while in the state of ihram, and he said: If we had not been in ihram, we would have applied perfume to him and covered his head and face.
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This is because all the legal obligations are until life remains; when a person dies, his actions also come to an end.
