Hadith 712
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Dinar that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade a person in the state of ihram from wearing clothes dyed with saffron or wars, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever does not find sandals should wear leather socks, but he should cut them so that they are below the ankles."
Hadith 713
It is narrated from Nafi that he heard from Aslam, who was the freed slave of Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), that he used to narrate a hadith from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) saw Sayyiduna Talha bin Ubaidullah (may Allah be pleased with him) wearing colored clothes in the state of ihram, so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: What is this dyed cloth, O Talha? Sayyiduna Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Commander of the Faithful! This is the color of clay. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: You people are leaders, people follow you; if an ignorant person who is not familiar with this color sees this cloth, he will say that Sayyiduna Talha bin Ubaidullah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to wear colored clothes in ihram, so do not wear any of these colored clothes.
Hadith 714
Sayyida Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) used to wear clothes dyed with a deep kashm color in ihram, but there was no saffron in them.
Hadith 714B
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked: If there is fragrance on a garment, and then its scent disappears, is it permissible to wear it in the state of Ihram? He said: Yes, as long as the color of saffron or wars does not remain on it.
