Hadith 605
It is narrated from Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, that when Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, was traveling during Ramadan and he realized that he would enter the city before noon that day, he would enter while fasting.
Hadith 605B1
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: If a person is on a journey and he knows that he will enter the city in the morning, and then morning comes upon him while he is on the way, then he should enter (the city) while fasting.
Hadith 605B2
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: And when one intends to travel in Ramadan and morning comes upon him while he is still in the city, then he should fast that day.
Hadith 605B3
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: If a person returns from a journey and he is not fasting, and his wife is also not fasting, for example, she has become pure from menstruation that day, then it is permissible for her husband to have intercourse with her if he wishes.
