Hadith 540
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) ordered that the funeral of Sayyiduna Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) should pass through the mosque to her chamber so that she could pray for him. So, people objected to this. Then she (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Have people forgotten so quickly? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not pray over Sayyiduna Suhail ibn Bayda' (may Allah be pleased with him) except in the mosque.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The funeral prayer was offered for Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) in the mosque.
