Hadith 512
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah Sanabahi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the sun rises, Satan is near it, and when it becomes high, he moves away from it. Then when it is at its zenith, he comes near it again, and when it declines, he moves away from it. Then when it is about to set, he comes near it, and when it sets, he moves away from it." And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade performing prayer during these hours.
Hadith 513
It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When the edge of the sun rises, refrain from prayer until the sun has completely risen, and when the edge of the sun sets, refrain until the sun has completely set."
Hadith 514
It is narrated from Alaa bin Abdur Rahman that we went to Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) after the Zuhr prayer, and he stood up for the Asr prayer. When he finished the prayer, we or he mentioned the matter of performing the prayer quickly. So Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "This is the prayer of the hypocrites, this is the prayer of the hypocrites, this is the prayer of the hypocrites: they sit and wait until the sun becomes yellow, and it is between the two sides of the head of Satan or above them, then they stand and peck out four (units) quickly, and in it they do not remember Allah except a little."
Hadith 515
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "None of you should deliberately perform prayer at the time of sunrise or sunset."
Hadith 516
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade prayer after Asr until the sun sets, and after Fajr until the sun rises.
Hadith 517
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: Do not intend to pray at the time of sunrise and sunset, because the devil rises with the sun with two sides of his head and sets with it as well. And Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to strike people for praying at that time.
Hadith 518
Hazrat Saib bin Yazid saw that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was hitting Minkadir because he had performed prayer after Asr.
