Hadith 494
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For every prophet there is a supplication that is certainly accepted, and I wish to reserve my supplication for the intercession of my Ummah on the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 495
Yahya ibn Sa'id was informed that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to supplicate, and he would say: "O Allah! Creator of the morning! Maker of the night as a time of rest! And the One Who causes the sun and the moon to move according to calculation! Pay off my debt for me, and enrich me from poverty, and grant me benefit from my hearing and my sight, and from my strength in Your path."
Hadith 496
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When any of you makes supplication, he should not say: O Allah, forgive me if You will, and have mercy on us if You will; rather, he should say: Forgive me, for there is none who can compel Allah, Glorious and Exalted is He."
Hadith 497
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The supplication is accepted as long as the supplicant does not hasten, and says: 'I made supplication but it was not accepted.'"
Hadith 498

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Our Lord descends every night to the lowest heaven when the last third of the night remains, and He says: 'Who is there who supplicates to Me so that I may accept his supplication? Who is there who asks of Me so that I may give to him? Who is there who seeks forgiveness from Me so that I may forgive him?'"
Hadith 499
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Ibrahim that Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I was sleeping beside the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I did not find him, so I touched him and my hand reached his feet, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in prostration, saying: "I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, and in Your pardon from Your punishment, and I cannot praise You as You have praised Yourself."
Hadith 500
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaidullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of supplications is the supplication on the Day of Arafah, and the best of what I and the prophets before me have said is: «لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ»."
Hadith 501
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to teach them this supplication just as he used to teach them a surah of the Qur'an. He would say: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Dajjal, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death."
Hadith 502
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand for prayer in the middle of the night, he would say: “O Allah! All praise is for You, You are the Light of the heavens and the earth, and all praise is for You, and You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth, and all praise is for You, and You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. You are the Truth, Your word is true, Your promise is true, meeting You is true, Paradise and Hell are true, the Hour is true. O Lord! I am obedient to Your command, and I have believed in You, and I have relied upon You, and I have turned towards You, and with Your help I have fought against the disbelievers, and I have made You the judge when there was a dispute. So forgive my past and future sins, my hidden and open sins. You are my God, there is no true god except You.”
Hadith 503
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abdullah that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) came to us at Bani Muawiyah, and it is a village among the villages of the Ansar. He asked me: Do you know the place where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in this mosque of yours? I said: Yes, I know, and I pointed out a corner. Then he asked me: Do you know which are the three supplications that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made? I said: Yes. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Tell me. I said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated that no enemy from other nations, that is, from the disbelievers, be imposed upon the Muslims, and that they not be destroyed by famine. So these two supplications were accepted. The third supplication was that there be no bloodshed and fighting among the Muslims themselves, but this supplication was not accepted. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: You have spoken the truth. Then he said: Now, till the Day of Judgment, discord will continue among them.
Hadith 504
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Aslam (may Allah be pleased with him), he used to say: When a person makes supplication, his supplication is not devoid of three states: either it is accepted, or it is deferred until the Day of Resurrection, or it becomes an expiation for sins.
