Hadith 485
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: I heard a man reciting «﴿قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ﴾» repeatedly, so when morning came, I went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and mentioned this matter to him. And Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id, may Allah be pleased with him, considered this surah to be of little significance in his own understanding. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, this surah is equal to one third of the Qur'an."
Hadith 486
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), he used to say: I came with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he heard a man reciting «﴿قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ أَحَدٌ﴾». He said: "It has become obligatory." I asked: "What has?" He said: "Paradise." Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I wanted to go and give this man the glad tidings, but I feared that my morning meal with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would be lost, so I ate first, then I went, but I saw that the man had gone.
Hadith 487
Humaid bin Abdur Rahman bin Awf said that «﴿قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ أَحَدٌ﴾» is equal to one third of the Qur'an and «﴿تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ﴾» will argue on behalf of its reciter.
