Hadith 346
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came from Madinah to Makkah, he would lead the congregation in two rak'ahs and then say salam. Then he would say: O people of Makkah! Complete your prayer because we are travelers.
Hadith 347
It is narrated from Zaid bin Aslam (may Allah have mercy on him) that his father Aslam (may Allah have mercy on him) also reported from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) in the same manner as the previous narration.
Hadith 348
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ
عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ " كَانَ
يُصَلِّي وَرَاءَ الْإِمَامِ بِمِنًى أَرْبَعًا ، فَإِذَا صَلَّى لِنَفْسِهِ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ "
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to perform four rak'ahs behind the Imam in Mina, and when he prayed alone, he would perform two rak'ahs.
Hadith 349
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ
صَفْوَانَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " جَاءَ
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ يَعُودُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ صَفْوَانَ
فَصَلَّى لَنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَقُمْنَا فَأَتْمَمْنَا "
It is narrated from Safwan bin Abdullah that Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) came to visit Abdullah bin Safwan when he was ill, so he led two rak'ahs in prayer. Then, when he finished with salam, we stood up and completed the prayer.
