Hadith 306
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The reward for offering prayer while sitting is half of that of offering it while standing."
Hadith 307
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that when we came to Madinah, the epidemic fever became very severe for us. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the people and they were performing voluntary prayers while sitting. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever prays while sitting will receive half the reward of the one who prays standing."
