Hadith 276
It is narrated from Sa'id bin Jubair that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was sleeping, then he woke up and said to his servant: Look! What are the people doing? And in those days, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) had lost his eyesight, so the servant went and then returned and said: The people have already performed the Fajr (morning) prayer. So Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) stood up and offered Witr, then performed the Fajr prayer.
Hadith 277
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) received the information that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), Qasim bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him), and Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi'ah (may Allah have mercy on him) performed Witr after the break of dawn.
Hadith 278
Hazrat Urwah narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I do not fear if the call for the Fajr prayer is made while I am performing Witr.
Hadith 279
It is narrated from Yahya ibn Sa'id that Sayyiduna 'Ubada ibn as-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) used to lead a people in prayer. One day he went out for the Fajr prayer and the mu'adhdhin pronounced the takbir. Then Sayyiduna 'Ubada ibn as-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) silenced the mu'adhdhin until he had performed the witr prayer, then he led the Fajr prayer.
Hadith 280
It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Qasim that he heard from Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi’ah, may Allah have mercy on him, who said: I perform Witr while I am hearing the Takbir of the morning (Fajr) prayer, or I perform Witr after Fajr. Abdur Rahman is unsure how exactly he said it.
Hadith 281
Abdur Rahman bin Qasim heard from his father, who said that he used to pray Witr after Fajr had begun.
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) said: After Fajr has begun, the person who had slept and not prayed Witr should pray Witr, but it is not permissible for anyone to deliberately pray Witr after Fajr has begun.
