Hadith 215
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ابْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ ، فَقَامَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ وَنَظَرْنَا تَسْلِيمَهُ ، كَبَّرَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ قَبْلَ التَّسْلِيمِ ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Buhaina (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up after praying two rak'ahs and did not sit down. The people also stood up with him. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) completed the prayer and we were waiting for his salam, he said the takbir while sitting before the salam and performed two prostrations, then gave salam.
Hadith 216
قَالَ مَالِك فِيمَنْ سَهَا فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَقَامَ بَعْدَ إِتْمَامِهِ الْأَرْبَعَ ، فَقَرَأَ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ ، فَلَمَّا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ رُكُوعِهِ ذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ أَتَمَّ : إِنَّهُ يَرْجِعُ فَيَجْلِسُ وَلَا يَسْجُدُ ، وَلَوْ سَجَدَ إِحْدَى السَّجْدَتَيْنِ لَمْ أَرَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ الْأُخْرَى ، ثُمَّ إِذَا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ بَعْدَ التَّسْلِيمِ
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: If a person, after completing four rak'ahs, stands up by mistake and recites (Qur'an) and performs ruku', then when he raises his head from ruku' he remembers that he had already completed the four rak'ahs and established the prayer, then that person should sit down and not perform sujud. And if he has already performed one sujud, he should not perform the second. Then he should recite the tashahhud and perform two sujud of forgetfulness after the salam.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Buhaina (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the Zuhr prayer, and after praying two rak'ahs he stood up and did not sit. Then, when he had completed the prayer, he performed two prostrations and then gave salam afterwards.
