Hadith 180
It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) led the morning prayer and recited Surah Al-Baqarah in the two rak'ahs.
Hadith 181
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair heard from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi’ah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We prayed behind Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) the morning prayer, and he recited Surah Yusuf and Surah Hajj slowly and distinctly. Hazrat Urwah said: By Allah! At that time, they must have been standing for prayer when true dawn appeared. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Yes.
Hadith 182
It is narrated from Qasim bin Muhammad that Faraafisah bin Umair Hanafi said: I memorized Surah Yusuf by listening to the recitation of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him); he (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite it often in the Fajr prayer.
Hadith 183
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ
عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، " كَانَ
يَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ فِي السَّفَرِ بِالْعَشْرِ السُّوَرِ الْأُوَلِ مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ وَسُورَةٍ "
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to recite Surah Al-Fatihah and one surah from the first ten surahs of the Mufassal in each rak'ah while traveling.
