Hadith 174
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wearing silk garments, gold rings, and reciting the Qur'an during bowing (ruku‘).
Hadith 175
It is narrated from Hazrat Farwah bin Amr Bayazi that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to the people while they were praying. Their voices were raised due to the recitation of the Word of Allah. So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who is praying is whispering to his Lord, so he should understand and whisper, and one of you should not raise his voice over another in the Qur'an."
Hadith 176
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said that I stood behind Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, Sayyiduna Umar, and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) in prayer, and when they began the prayer, none of them would recite "Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem."
Hadith 177
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ
أَبِي سُهَيْلِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " كُنَّا
نَسْمَعُ قِرَاءَةَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عِنْدَ دَارِ أَبِي جَهْمٍ بِالْبَلَاطِ "
It is narrated from Malik bin Abi Amir Asbahi that we used to listen to the recitation of Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), and he used to be near the house of Abu Juhm, and we used to be in the courtyard.
Hadith 178
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ
عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ
إِذَا فَاتَهُ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ فِيمَا جَهَرَ فِيهِ الْإِمَامُ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ ، أَنَّهُ إِذَا سَلَّمَ الْإِمَامُ قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ فَقَرَأَ لِنَفْسِهِ فِيمَا يَقْضِي وَجَهَرَ "
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) missed some part of a prayer with the Imam in which the recitation was done aloud, then when the Imam finished with salam, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) would stand up and recite aloud the part of the prayer that he had missed.
Hadith 179
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ :
" كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي إِلَى جَانِبِ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ فَيَغْمِزُنِي فَأَفْتَحُ عَلَيْهِ وَنَحْنُ نُصَلِّي "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Yazid bin Ruman (may Allah be pleased with him) that I used to pray on one side of Nafi', so he would gesture to me, and I would inform him where he would forget, and we would be in prayer.
