Hadith 123
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Aslam (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "Is it permissible for me to approach my wife when she is menstruating?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Tie a waist-wrapper on her, then you have permission for what is above the waist-wrapper."
Hadith 124
It is narrated from Rabiah bin Abi Abdur Rahman that Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was lying down with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in a single garment, when suddenly she jumped aside. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Perhaps menstruation has come to you." She replied: "Yes!" Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Tie your lower garment around yourself, then come and lie down here again."
Hadith 125
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) sent a man to Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and asked her, "May a man have intercourse with his wife during her menstruation?" Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: "He should tie a lower garment around the lower part of her body, then if he wishes, he may have intercourse with her."
Hadith 126
It reached Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, that Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar and Sulaiman bin Yasar were asked about a menstruating woman: when she becomes pure, can her husband have intercourse with her before she performs ghusl (ritual bath)? Both of them said: No! Not until she performs ghusl.
