Hadith 97
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ
إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ، بَدَأَ بِغَسْلِ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ كَمَا يَتَوَضَّأُ لِلصَّلَاةِ ، ثُمَّ يُدْخِلُ أَصَابِعَهُ فِي الْمَاءِ فَيُخَلِّلُ بِهَا أُصُولَ شَعَرِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ ثَلَاثَ غَرَفَاتٍ بِيَدَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ يُفِيضُ الْمَاءَ عَلَى جِلْدِهِ كُلِّهِ "
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl due to janabah, he would first wash both hands, then perform wudu as is done for prayer, then insert his fingers into the water and run his fingers through the roots of his hair, then pour three handfuls of water over his head with both hands, and then pour water over his entire body.
Hadith 98
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ
عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ
يَغْتَسِلُ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ ، هُوَ الْفَرَقُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ghusl from a vessel that contained three sa’ of water, for janabah.
Hadith 99
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ
عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ " كَانَ
إِذَا اغْتَسَلَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ، بَدَأَ فَأَفْرَغَ عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُمْنَى فَغَسَلَهَا ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ فَرْجَهُ ثُمَّ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَنَضَحَ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى ثُمَّ الْيُسْرَى ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ اغْتَسَلَ ، وَأَفَاضَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ "
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) would begin the ghusl of janabah, he would first pour water on his right hand and wash it, then wash his private parts, then rinse his mouth and put water into his nose, then wash his face and put water inside his eyes, then wash his right hand, then his left hand, then wash his head, and then pour water over his entire body to perform ghusl.
Hadith 100
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ سُئِلَتْ عَنْ غُسْلِ الْمَرْأَةِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ ، فَقَالَتْ : " لِتَحْفِنْ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا ثَلَاثَ حَفَنَاتٍ مِنَ الْمَاءِ ، وَلْتَضْغَثْ رَأْسَهَا بِيَدَيْهَا "
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) was informed that Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was asked: How should a woman perform ghusl after janabah? She said: She should pour three handfuls of water over her head with both hands filled, and she should rub her head with both hands.
