Chapter on Actions Regarding Nosebleed
Hadith 79
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ يَرْعُفُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الدَّمُ ، حَتَّى تَخْتَضِبَ أَصَابِعُهُ مِنَ الدَّمِ الَّذِي يَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَنْفِهِ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي وَلَا يَتَوَضَّأُ "
Abdur Rahman saw Sa'id bin al-Musayyib that his nose would bleed and blood would come out, to the extent that his fingers would become stained with this blood, then he would pray and would not perform ablution.
Hadith 80
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْمُجَبَّرِ ، أَنَّهُ " رَأَى سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَنْفِهِ الدَّمُ حَتَّى تَخْتَضِبَ أَصَابِعُهُ ، ثُمَّ يَفْتِلُهُ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي وَلَا يَتَوَضَّأُ "
It is narrated from Abdur Rahman that he saw that blood would come out from the nose of Sayyiduna Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) to the extent that his fingers would become stained with it, then he would rub it off, then he would pray and would not perform ablution.
