Hadith 76
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ " كَانَ إِذَا رَعَفَ انْصَرَفَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ، ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَبَنَى وَلَمْ يَتَكَلَّمْ "
It is narrated from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) that whenever Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) had a nosebleed, he would leave (the prayer at that spot), then perform ablution, then return, then continue from where he had left off (and complete the remaining prayer, and during this period) he would not engage in conversation.
Hadith 77
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، " كَانَ يَرْعُفُ فَيَخْرُجُ فَيَغْسِلُ الدَّمَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فَيَبْنِي عَلَى مَا قَدْ صَلَّى "
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) received the information that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) would have a nosebleed, he would go outside, then (only) clean the blood, then return (without performing ablution), and would continue from where he had left off in the prayer (and would complete the remaining prayer).
Hadith 78
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ " رَأَى سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ رَعَفَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَأَتَى حُجْرَةَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأُتِيَ بِوَضُوءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَبَنَى عَلَى مَا قَدْ صَلَّى "
It is narrated from Hazrat Yazid bin Abdullah that Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) had a nosebleed during prayer, so he went into the chamber of Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then water for ablution was brought, so he performed ablution and then returned and continued his prayer from where he had left off.
