Hadith 956

سُئِلَ مَالِك هَلْ يَحْتَشُّ الرَّجُلُ لِدَابَّتِهِ مِنَ الْحَرَمِ ؟ فَقَالَ : لَا
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked whether it is permissible to cut the grass of the Haram for one's animal. He replied, "No."
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ الْاسْتِثْنَاءِ فِي الْحَجِّ، فَقَالَ : " أَوَ يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ أَحَدٌ ؟ " وَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ .
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, asked Ibn Shihab whether making a condition in Hajj is permissible. He replied: Does anyone do that? And he rejected it.
