Hadith 953

وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ مَرَّ بِامْرَأَةٍ مَجْذُومَةٍ، وَهِيَ تَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ، فَقَالَ لَهَا : " يَا أَمَةَ اللَّهِ لَا تُؤْذِي النَّاسَ، لَوْ جَلَسْتِ فِي بَيْتِكِ "، فَجَلَسَتْ فَمَرَّ بِهَا رَجُلٌ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ لَهَا : إِنَّ الَّذِي كَانَ قَدْ نَهَاكِ، قَدْ مَاتَ، فَاخْرُجِي، فَقَالَتْ : مَا كُنْتُ لِأُطِيعَهُ حَيًّا، وَأَعْصِيَهُ مَيِّتًا
It is narrated from Ibn Abi Mulaika that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by a leprous woman who was performing tawaf of the Ka'bah. He said: O slave-woman of Allah! Do not trouble the people; if only you would sit in your house. So she remained in her house. A man met her and said: The person who forbade you has died, now you may go out. The woman replied: I am not such that I would obey him during his life and disobey him after his death.
