It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) set out from Makkah (intending for Madinah). When he reached Qudayd, news of unrest in Madinah reached him, so he returned to Makkah without entering into ihram.
