بَابُ إِفَاضَةِ الْحَائِضِDeparture of a Menstruating Woman
Hadith 932
قَالَ مَالِك : قَالَ هِشَامٌ : قَالَ عُرْوَةُ : قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ، وَنَحْنُ نَذْكُرُ ذَلِكَ فَلِمَ يُقَدِّمُ النَّاسُ نِسَاءَهُمْ إِنْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ لَا يَنْفَعُهُنَّ، وَلَوْ كَانَ الَّذِي يَقُولُونَ لَأَصْبَحَ بِمِنًى أَكْثَرُ مِنْ سِتَّةِ آلَافِ امْرَأَةٍ حَائِضٍ كُلُّهُنَّ، قَدْ أَفَاضَتْ
Hisham said, 'Urwah said, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: When we used to mention this, if it was not beneficial to send the women off for tawaf beforehand, then why would people send them? And if it were correct, as people think, that staying for the farewell tawaf is obligatory, then more than six thousand women would have been lying in Mina in a state of menstruation, waiting for the farewell tawaf.
