بَابُ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ مَسِّ الْفَرْجِChapter on Ablution After Touching the Private Part
Hadith 92
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أَبِي عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَغْتَسِلُ ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : يَا أَبَتِ ، أَمَا يَجْزِيكَ الْغُسْلُ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ ، قَالَ : " بَلَى ، وَلَكِنِّي أَحْيَانًا أَمَسُّ ذَكَرِي فَأَتَوَضَّأُ "
It is narrated from Hazrat Salim bin Abdullah that I saw my father, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), performing ablution after taking a bath. So I asked, "O my father! Is not the bath sufficient without ablution?" He said, "Yes, it is sufficient, but sometimes it happens that after the bath I touch my private part, so I perform ablution."
