Hadith 907B1

Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: In our view, the ruling is that Takbeer should be recited after every prayer during the days of Tashreeq, and Takbeer should begin after the Zuhr prayer on the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr), and end at the Fajr prayer on the thirteenth day. The Imam should recite the Takbeer and the people should recite it with him when they finish the prayer. This Takbeer is obligatory upon both men and women, whether they pray in congregation or alone, whether they are in Mina or in other lands. The distant pilgrims should follow the Imam of Hajj in Mina, and the nearby pilgrims should follow the Imam in the stoning of the Jamarat and the Takbeerat, because in this way, when they perform these acts and complete the Ihram, all the pilgrims will be equal in «حل». That is, in completing the rites of Hajj, all will be equal. However, those who are not pilgrims should not follow the pilgrims except in the Takbeerat of Tashreeq.
