It reached Yahya ibn Sa'id that Sayyiduna Umar ibn Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, went out on the eleventh day when some of the day had passed, and he said the takbir, and the people also said the takbir with him. Then on the next day he went out when some of the day had passed and said the takbir, and the people also said the takbir with him, so that one takbir would be joined with another and the sound would reach the House of Allah, and the people would know that Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, had gone out to perform the stoning.
