أَبِيهِ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

It is narrated from Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, performed four rak‘ahs of prayer at Mina as two rak‘ahs (i.e., he shortened them). And Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, also performed two rak‘ahs there, and Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, also performed two rak‘ahs there, and Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan, may Allah be pleased with him, also performed two rak‘ahs at Mina until half of his caliphate, then he started performing four.
