It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, used to say: Whoever did not stay at ‘Arafah until the dawn of the Day of Sacrifice, his Hajj has lapsed; and whoever stayed at ‘Arafah before the dawn of the Day of Sacrifice, he has attained Hajj.
