بَابُ جَامِعِ الْهَدْيِComprehensive Chapter on Sacrifice
Hadith 871
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، فَخَرَجَ مَعَهُ مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ، فَمَرُّوا عَلَى حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ بِالسُّقْيَا، فَأَقَامَ عَلَيْهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَتَّى إِذَا خَافَ الْفَوَاتَ، خَرَجَ، وَبَعَثَ إِلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، وَأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ، وَهُمَا بِالْمَدِينَةِ، فَقَدِمَا عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ إِنَّ حُسَيْنًا أَشَارَ إِلَى رَأْسِهِ، فَأَمَرَ عَلِيٌّ بِرَأْسِهِ، فَحُلِّقَ، ثُمَّ نَسَكَ عَنْهُ بِالسُّقْيَا، فَنَحَرَ عَنْهُ بَعِيرًا، قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ : وَكَانَ حُسَيْنٌ خَرَجَ مَعَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ فِي سَفَرِهِ ذَلِكَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ
It is narrated from Abu Asma, who was the freed slave of Abdullah bin Ja'far, that he went out with Abdullah bin Ja'far from Madinah (for Hajj), and they passed by Sayyiduna Husayn bin Ali, may Allah be pleased with them both, and he was ill at Suqya. So Abdullah bin Ja'far stayed there until, when he feared missing Hajj, Abdullah bin Ja'far set out and sent a man to Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, and to his wife Sayyida Asma bint Umais, may Allah be pleased with her, and they were both in Madinah. So Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, and Sayyida Asma, may Allah be pleased with her, came from Madinah to Sayyiduna Imam Husayn, may Allah be pleased with him. He pointed to his head. Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, ordered that his head be shaved at Suqya, then a camel was sacrificed on his behalf there at Suqya. Yahya bin Sa'id said that Sayyiduna Imam Husayn, may Allah be pleased with him, had set out for Hajj with Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan, may Allah be pleased with him.
