وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ
هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ لِبَنِيهِ : " يَا بَنِيَّ،
لَا يُهْدِيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ الْبُدْنِ شَيْئًا، يَسْتَحْيِي، أَنْ يُهْدِيَهُ لِكَرِيمِهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ أَكْرَمُ الْكُرَمَاءِ، وَأَحَقُّ مَنِ اخْتِيرَ لَهُ "
Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair used to say to his sons: O my sons! For the sake of Allah, none of you should give such a camel that you would feel ashamed to give to your friend, because Allah, Glorious and Exalted is He, is more generous than all the generous ones and is more deserving that something should be chosen and given for His sake.
