بَابُ الْعَمَلِ فِي الْهَدْيِ حِينَ يُسَاقُDealing with the Sacrificial Animal While Being Driven
Hadith 846
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ إِذَا طَعَنَ فِي سَنَامِ هَدْيِهِ وَهُوَ يُشْعِرُهُ، قَالَ : " بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ "
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would wound the hump of his sacrificial animal for the purpose of marking (shi‘ar), he would say: In the name of Allah, who is the Greatest.
