حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ
نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ
عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ " أَنَّهُ كَانَ
إِذَا أَهْدَى هَدْيًا مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ، قَلَّدَهُ وَأَشْعَرَهُ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ، يُقَلِّدُهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُشْعِرَهُ . وَذَلِكَ فِي مَكَانٍ وَاحِدٍ، وَهُوَ مُوَجَّهٌ لِلْقِبْلَةِ، يُقَلِّدُهُ بِنَعْلَيْنِ، وَيُشْعِرُهُ مِنَ الشِّقِّ الْأَيْسَرِ، ثُمَّ يُسَاقُ مَعَهُ، حَتَّى يُوقَفَ بِهِ مَعَ النَّاسِ بِعَرَفَةَ، ثُمَّ يَدْفَعُ بِهِ مَعَهُمْ إِذَا دَفَعُوا، فَإِذَا قَدِمَ مِنًى غَدَاةَ النَّحْرِ نَحَرَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ، أَوْ يُقَصِّرَ، وَكَانَ هُوَ يَنْحَرُ هَدْيَهُ بِيَدِهِ، يَصُفُّهُنَّ قِيَامًا، وَيُوَجِّهُهُنَّ إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ، ثُمَّ يَأْكُلُ وَيُطْعِمُ "
Whenever Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would take a sacrificial animal (hady) from Madinah, he would garland it (meaning, hang something around its neck), and he would perform ish’ar (cutting the hump on one side so that blood flows) at Dhu’l-Hulayfah. However, he would garland it before performing ish’ar, but both actions would be done at the same place, in such a way that he would turn the face of the hady towards the qiblah, first hang two sandals around its neck, then perform ish’ar on the left side, and would take the hady along with him, remaining with all the people even at ‘Arafah on the day of ‘Arafah. Then, when the people would return, the hady would also return. When he reached Mina in the morning on the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr), he would slaughter it before shaving or shortening the hair. And Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would slaughter his hady himself. He would make them stand in rows, turn their faces towards the qiblah, then slaughter them. He would eat from its meat himself and also feed others.
