بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي صِيَامِ أَيَّامِ مِنًىWhat is Reported Regarding Fasting the Days of Mina
Hadith 835
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " بَعَثَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ حُذَافَةَ أَيَّامَ مِنًى يَطُوفُ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ، وَذِكْرِ اللَّهِ "
It is narrated from Ibn Shihab that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent our master Abdullah bin Hudhafah, may Allah be pleased with him, during the days of Mina to go around among the people and announce that these are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allah.
