Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Whoever is prevented due to illness, he will not become halal until he performs tawaf of the Ka'bah and sa'i between Safa and Marwah. If there is a need to wear any clothing or use medicine (which is prohibited in the state of ihram), then he should use it and give the penalty.
