Hadith 795

Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked: If a person in the state of ihram has pain in his ear, can he put oil of ban (wild olive) without fragrance in his ear? He replied: There is no harm in it, and if he puts it in his mouth, there is also no harm.
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: If a person in the state of ihram lances his boil, bursts a blister, or opens a vein for bloodletting out of necessity, then there is no harm in it.
Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abi Maryam asked Sa'id bin al-Musayyib that one of my nails has broken and I am in the state of Ihram. Sa'id said: Cut it off.
