بَابُ مَا يَجُوزُ لِلْمُحْرِمِ أَكْلُهُ مِنَ الصَّيْدِChapter on What is Permissible for a Person in Ihram to Eat from Game
Hadith 783B2
قَالَ مَالِك فِيمَنْ أَحْرَمَ وَعِنْدَهُ صَيْدٌ قَدْ صَادَهُ أَوِ ابْتَاعَهُ : فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يُرْسِلَهُ ، وَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهُ عِنْدَ أَهْلِهِ
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: If a person enters into the state of ihram and he has a game animal which he has caught or purchased, then it is not necessary for him to release it; rather, he may keep it in his house.
