بَابُ إِهْلَالِ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ وَمَنْ بِهَا مِنْ غَيْرِهِمْChapter on Talbiyah of the People of Mecca and Others
Hadith 752B4
وَسُئِلَ مَالِك ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ هَلْ يُهِلُّ مِنْ جَوْفِ مَكَّةَ بِعُمْرَةٍ ، قَالَ : بَلْ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى الْحِلِّ فَيُحْرِمُ مِنْهُ
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: It is not correct for a resident of Makkah to enter into the state of ihram for ‘umrah from within the Haram; rather, it is necessary to enter into ihram from the Hill.
