بَابُ التَّلْبِيَةِ وَالْعَمَلِ فِي الْإِهْلَالِTalbiyah and actions in entering Ihram
Hadith 735
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ : يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْنَعُ أَرْبَعًا لَمْ أَرَ أَحَدًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِكَ يَصْنَعُهَا ، قَالَ : " وَمَا هُنَّ يَا ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ ؟ " قَالَ : رَأَيْتُكَ لَا تَمَسُّ مِنَ الْأَرْكَانِ إِلَّا الْيَمَانِيَّيْنِ ، وَرَأَيْتُكَ تَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ السِّبْتِيَّةَ ، وَرَأَيْتُكَ تَصْبُغُ بِالصُّفْرَةِ ، وَرَأَيْتُكَ إِذَا كُنْتَ بِمَكَّةَ أَهَلَّ النَّاسُ إِذَا رَأَوْا الْهِلَالَ وَلَمْ تُهْلِلْ أَنْتَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ : " أَمَّا الْأَرْكَانُ فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمَسُّ إِلَّا الْيَمَانِيَّيْنِ ، وَأَمَّا النِّعَالُ السِّبْتِيَّةُ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ الَّتِي لَيْسَ فِيهَا شَعَرٌ ، وَيَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَلْبَسَهَا ، وَأَمَّا الصُّفْرَةُ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصْبُغُ بِهَا فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَصْبُغَ بِهَا ، وَأَمَّا الْإِهْلَالُ فَإِنِّي لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُهِلُّ حَتَّى تَنْبَعِثَ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ "
It is narrated from Ubaid bin Juraij, he said: I said to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both: O Abu Abdur Rahman! I have seen you doing four things which none of your companions do. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: Which things? Tell me, O Ibn Juraij. He said: I have seen that you do not touch anything during Tawaf except the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, and I have seen that you wear shoes made of leather without hair, and I have seen you dye your hair yellow, and I have seen that when you are in Makkah, people put on Ihram as soon as they see the new moon, but you do not put it on except on the eighth day. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, replied: As for the corners, I have not seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, touch any corner except the Black Stone and the Yemeni Corner; and as for the shoes, I have seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wear shoes made of leather without hair, and he would wear them even after performing ablution, so I also like to wear them; and as for the yellow dye, I have seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, dye his hair yellow, so I also like it; and as for Ihram, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would not recite Talbiyah until his camel stood upright, ready to set out.
