بَابُ جِزْيَةِ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ وَالْمَجُوسِChapter on Jizya from People of the Book and Magians
Hadith 688
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : بَلَغَنِي ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَخَذَ الْجِزْيَةَ مِنْ مَجُوسِ الْبَحْرَيْنِ " ، وَأَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَخَذَهَا مِنْ مَجُوسِ فَارِسَ ، وَأَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ أَخَذَهَا مِنْ الْبَرْبَرِ
It is narrated from Ibn Shihab that it reached me that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took jizya from the Magians of Bahrain, and Sayyiduna Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, took jizya from the Magians of Persia, and Sayyiduna Uthman ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with him, took jizya from the Berbers.
