بَابُ مَا تَجِبُ فِيهِ الزَّكَاةُChapter on what requires zakat
Hadith 651
حَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ يَحْيَى الْمَازِنِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ ، وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ صَدَقَةٌ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no zakat on less than five camels, and there is no zakat on silver less than five awqiyahs, and there is no zakat on grain less than five wasqs."
