وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ
حُمَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمَكِّيِّ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ مَعَ مُجَاهِدٍ وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَجَاءَهُ إِنْسَانٌ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ صِيَامِ أَيَّامِ الْكَفَّارَةِ أَمُتَتَابِعَاتٍ أَمْ يَقْطَعُهَا ؟ قَالَ حُمَيْدٌ : فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : نَعَمْ ، يَقْطَعُهَا إِنْ شَاءَ ، قَالَ
مُجَاهِدٌ :
" لَا يَقْطَعُهَا فَإِنَّهَا فِي قِرَاءَةِ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مُتَتَابِعَاتٍ "
It is narrated from Humaid bin Qais Makki that I was with Mujahid and we were performing Tawaf of the Ka'bah. Meanwhile, a man came and asked whether the fasts of expiation should be consecutive or separate? Humaid said: Yes, he can keep them separately if he wishes. Mujahid said: No, because in the recitation of Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) it is: «ثَلٰثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مُتَتَابِعَاتٍ» meaning the fasts of three days should be consecutive.
