بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي قَضَاءِ رَمَضَانَ وَالْكَفَّارَاتِChapter on What is Reported Regarding Making Up Ramadan and Expiations
Hadith 623
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " مَنِ اسْتَقَاءَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَعَلَيْهِ الْقَضَاءُ ، وَمَنْ ذَرَعَهُ الْقَيْءُ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَضَاءُ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to say: Whoever vomits deliberately while fasting, making up the fast becomes obligatory upon him, and whoever vomits unintentionally, then making up the fast is not obligatory upon him.
