بَابُ جَامِعِ الْجَنَائِزِComprehensive Chapter on Funerals
Hadith 574
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَمَّا مَاتَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ وَمُرَّ بِجَنَازَتِهِ ذَهَبْتَ وَلَمْ تَلَبَّسْ مِنْهَا بِشَيْءٍ "
Abu al-Nadr said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said when the funeral of Sayyiduna Uthman ibn Maz'un, may Allah be pleased with him, passed by: "You have departed from this world and did not take anything from it."
