بَابُ جَامِعِ الْجَنَائِزِComprehensive Chapter on Funerals
Hadith 564
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ وَهُوَ مُسْتَنِدٌ إِلَى صَدْرِهَا ، وَأَصْغَتْ إِلَيْهِ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ الْأَعْلَى "
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) before his passing, when he (peace be upon him) was reclining with his head on the chest of Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was listening closely to him (peace be upon him), he was saying: "O Allah! Have mercy on me and join me with the highest companions."
