Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) was informed that Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pray, and for men and women, they would say one time each; for men, they would say near the imam, and for women, near the qiblah.
