بَابُ تَرْكِ الْوُضُوءِ مِمَّا مَسَّتْهُ النَّارُAbandoning ablution for what has been touched by fire
Hadith 54
اُردوEn
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " دُعِيَ لِطَعَامٍ فَقُرِّبَ إِلَيْهِ خُبْزٌ وَلَحْمٌ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ ، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَصَلَّى ، ثُمَّ أُتِيَ بِفَضْلِ ذَلِكَ الطَّعَامِ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ "
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Munkadir that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was invited to a meal, so bread and meat were presented before him. He ate from it, performed ablution, and offered prayer. Then the leftover of that food was brought, he ate from it and offered prayer without performing ablution.

Benefit:
This incident was narrated by Muhammad bin Munkadir rahimahullah and some of his companions from Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah radi Allahu anhuma. On this occasion, Hazrat Abu Bakr as-Siddiq and Hazrat Umar radi Allahu anhuma were also present with the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. [ابن ماجه: 489]
Hazrat Jabir radi Allahu anhu was granted the honor of presenting this food. [ابو داؤد: 191] This invitation was arranged by an Ansari woman companion radi Allahu anha, who had slaughtered a goat. [ترمذي: 80] During the meal, the time for the Zuhr prayer arrived, which the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam performed after making ablution (wudu), then returned and ate more food, and did not make a new ablution for the Asr prayer. [ابوداود، ترمذي]
