بَابُ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْجَنَائِزِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ إِلَى الْإِسْفَارِ، وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ إِلَى الِاصْفِرَارِPraying over the deceased after Fajr until sunrise, and after Asr until sunset
Hadith 539
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " يُصَلَّى عَلَى الْجَنَازَةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ وَبَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ إِذَا صُلِّيَتَا لِوَقْتِهِمَا "
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: The funeral prayer may be offered after ‘Asr and after Fajr when these two prayers are performed at their prescribed times.
