بَابُ الْعَمَلِ فِي الدُّعَاءِActions in supplication
Hadith 509
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ دَاعٍ يَدْعُو إِلَى هُدًى ، إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنِ اتَّبَعَهُ لَا يَنْقُصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا ، وَمَا مِنْ دَاعٍ يَدْعُو إِلَى ضَلَالَةٍ ، إِلَّا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ أَوْزَارِهِمْ لَا يَنْقُصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْئًا "
It reached Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever calls towards guidance will have a reward equal to that of those who follow him, without their reward being diminished in the least. And whoever calls towards misguidance will bear a sin equal to that of those who follow him, without their sin being diminished in the least."
