بَابُ الْعَمَلِ فِي الدُّعَاءِActions in supplication
Hadith 508
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَدْعُو فَيَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ ، وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ ، وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ ، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِي النَّاسِ فِتْنَةً فَاقْبِضْنِي إِلَيْكَ غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ "
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) was informed that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: "O Allah! I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, to abstain from evil deeds, and to love the poor. And when You wish to send a trial upon the people, then call me to Yourself, saving me from that trial."
