بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي سُجُودِ الْقُرْآنِWhat is reported about prostration in the Qur'an
Hadith 484B4
سُئِلَ مَالِك عَمَّنْ قَرَأَ سَجْدَةً وَامْرَأَةٌ حَائِضٌ تَسْمَعُ ، هَلْ لَهَا أَنْ تَسْجُدَ ؟ قَالَ مَالِك : لَا يَسْجُدُ الرَّجُلُ وَلَا الْمَرْأَةُ إِلَّا وَهُمَا طَاهِرَانِ
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked: If a person recites a verse of prostration and a menstruating woman hears it, should that woman also perform the prostration? Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, replied: No, for both a man or a woman, the prostration is only valid when both are in a state of ablution.
